Beach Road Studios
THE STUDIO AND GROUNDS
Located in Ontario, Canada, Beach Road Studios overlooks what is arguably the most beautiful of all the Great Lakes, Lake Huron. It has been described by many artists as an incredible space that brings out the right vibe and creative atmosphere for making music. The studio features natural lighting throughout with skylights and massive windows overlooking Lake Huron and the beautiful west coast sunsets. The tracking room is an impressively beautiful and large open space, creating some of the biggest drum sounds you’ll ever hear.
It's remote. It's quiet and peaceful. It's a huge tracking room with more gear than you can imagine and more being added all the time. Siegfried is an electronics junkie and collects gear from all eras. He's passionate about great engineering and takes pride in every project. Those that have recorded with him know that right from the start, they are in good hands.
The heart of the main control room at Beach Road features a heavily modified and custom British AMEK/TAC Magnum analog recording console, with 40 vintage transformer based Neve style mic preamps. A gorgeous 1994 Studer 2" 24 track analog machine, iZ Technology RADAR 24, 1969 Scully 8 track 1" machine, Studer A810 1/4" 2 track and a 64 IO Pro Tools system provide the recording and playback mediums, while a massive complement of outboard gear help shape the tones. The mic locker at Beach Road features some of the most classic and modern microphones you'll ever see, with several permanently mounted on the walls of the recording space. The tracking room allows for an enormous 48 mic inputs into the control room, which features another 16 mic inputs with even more mic preamps than you can ever imagine - each with their own tonal characteristics. The studio is designed to cater to every member of the band, boasting Siegfried's extensive collection of guitars, basses, amps, pedals, and processors. It also features a dedicated room filled with vintage synths and drum machines, along with a variety of drum kits and snares to choose from. Artists often arrive with just an idea, and find all the equipment set up and ready to go, allowing them to immediately immerse themselves in the creative process.
Beach Road also features full accommodations for artists and bands so that you live and stay at the studio Band House while making your record, never once putting creativity on hold. The studio team features an in-house Vocal Coach, the legendary Harley Olivia, as well as our resident studio cat Rupee. We also provide a grant writer on staff that can help with funding on large scale projects. Catering and other services are provided upon request, ensuring the most comfortable of stays and allowing you to enjoy a truly unique experience.
